Teenage star Estevao scored for the fourth game in a row for Brazil in their 1-1 draw with Tunisia in Lille, France.
The 18-year-old continues to shine for both club and country this season and he dispatched his penalty clinically in the first half of their match on Tuesday evening.
Estevao’s Chelsea teammates Joao Pedro and Andrey Santos were unused substitutes but all three are in contention to start the Blues’ upcoming Premier League clash away to Burnley on Saturday.
Elsewhere, Marc Cucurella picked up an assist during Spain’s 2-2 draw with Turkey in Seville – which confirmed their place at next summer’s World Cup.
Cucurella set up Dani Olmo to score Spain’s opener and he completed the full 90 minutes to continue his good form for both club and country so far this season.
Moises Caicedo captained Ecuador to a deserved friendly victory over New Zealand in the early hours of Wednesday morning in New Jersey.
The 24-year-old has already racked up 19 appearances for club and country so far this season, with Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca previously stating that the midfielder is unable to train consistently throughout the week, in order to manage his workload.
Goalkeeper Filip Jorgensen watched on from the bench as Denmark were beaten by Scotland at Hampden Park. The results means the Danes now face a play-off in order to reach next summer’s World Cup.
And in further disappointing news, young defender Dujuan Richards and Jamaica were held to a draw by Curacao in Kingston – a result which led to the departure of manager Steve McClaren.
The Reggae Boyz still have the chance to qualify through the inter-confederation play-offs, where they will face one of Suriname, New Caledonia or Bolivia in the semi-finals in March.
