Estrela da Amadora in line for windfall as Sidny Lopes Cabral nears Trabzonspor switch | OneFootball

Estrela da Amadora could bank more than a million euros from Sidny Lopes Cabral’s impending move from Benfica to Trabzonspor. According to Glorioso 1904, the 23-year-old Cape Verde international is close to a switch to the Turkish club in a deal worth around €10 million.

Estrela retained 10 percent of the player’s rights when selling him in the last winter window, putting them in line for a significant return. The move to Türkiye would therefore directly benefit the Reboleira club.

Benfica have begun assessing options to reinforce their squad amid the likely departure. The transfer should be announced once all formalities are completed, and it remains dependent only on the final agreement with the player.

Sidny joined Benfica for around six million euros after a short but productive stint at Estrela. He recorded one goal and three assists in 12 official appearances for the Lisbon club.

Before returning to Portuguese football, he played for Viktoria Koln in Germany’s third tier. At Estrela he produced five goals and three assists in 16 games.
