Arsenal and Olympique de Marseille said in statements that 18-year-old English striker Ethan Nwaneri has joined the Ligue 1 side on loan for the rest of the season. The move is a straight paid loan with no option to buy.
Nwaneri travelled to Marseille on Wednesday ahead of the club’s Champions League tie against Liverpool, and could feature for Roberto De Zerbi’s side against RC Lens this weekend.

A Hale End academy product, he first appeared for Arsenal in September 2022 as the youngest player in the Premier League at 15 years and 181 days.
He made 37 appearances last season for the Gunners, but has struggled for minutes after several major attacking signings under Mikel Arteta.
The club also signed Quentin Timber from Feyenoord this morning.
