Ethan Nwaneri ‘to join’ OM on four-month loan | OneFootball

Arsenal attacking midfielder Ethan Nwaneri is expected to join OM on a four-month loan with no option to buy.

The Athletic reports that the 18-year-old could arrive in the coming hours to deepen Roberto De Zerbi’s attacking rotation.

Nwaneri has had limited minutes this season, featuring in 12 matches, including three in the Champions League, after being used more often by Mikel Arteta last term.

His addition would allow Mason Greenwood, De Zerbi’s most used forward, to be managed more carefully. On Tuesday, the OM coach said it was not the moment to discuss the matter and referred enquiries to president Pablo Longoria, while noting he knows Nwaneri and rates him.

Regarded as a leading prospect by the Gunners, Nwaneri is left-footed and under contract at Arsenal until June 2030.
