Levante could select Karl Etta Eyong against Villarreal on Wednesday at the Ciutat de València, 20:00, in a fixture postponed on 14 December because of red-alert rain. According to El Periódico Mediterráneo, a clause inserted in his September 2025 move from Villarreal means Levante must pay 100,000 euros if he gets on the pitch.

Luís Castro confirmed the 22-year-old Cameroon international has trained normally and is in the squad, with his involvement a pure coaching call. Competition up front has sharpened, though there is a strong chance he starts.

There is a strong chance he starts against Marcelino García Toral's side, although he is competing for a place with Iván Moreno. Both could also begin the game.

Castro praised Villarreal's collective play, noting they have created chances and threatened opponents even when results have not followed. He said several of their principles appeal to him.

On how to contain them, he stressed that concentration in every moment is essential, since games often hinge on brief lapses or transitions. He also acknowledged Villarreal have weaknesses, and argued Levante must be collective and 100% focused in and out of possession.
