Sunderland play their penultimate Premier League game on Sunday when they face Everton, with both sides seeking a return to winning ways and a top-half push.
According to Sunderland Echo, Régis Le Bris and David Moyes have largely strong squads to pick from, though there are significant absences on both sides.
Dan Ballard serves the second match of a three-game suspension for violent conduct in the recent draw at Wolves, after Sunderland’s appeal was rejected.
Idrissa Gueye has missed the last two Premier League fixtures with a knock, and Moyes has confirmed he will not be fit this weekend. He could return for the final game of the season.
Bertrand Traore returned to training last week but did not make the squad for Man Utd’s visit to the Stadium of Light. He has trained again this week and could feature on Sunday.
Jarrad Branthwaite is out for the rest of the campaign with a hamstring injury sustained in the recent Merseyside derby, when he was stretchered off.
