Atalanta are stepping up their pursuit to sign a replacement for striker Mateo Retegui, who signed for Saudi club Al-Qadsiah for a reported €65 million, with Everton striker Beto among the names on the shortlist.
According to what has been reported by today’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport, via TMW, the former Udinese forward joins the likes of Napoli’s Giacomo Raspadori and Salzburg’s Adam Daghim on the list of potential candidates.

Last season, the 27-year-old Guinea-Bissau international scored eight goals in 30 Premier League games for Everton with another two goals coming in the FA Cup and EFL Cup.
Gazzetta also report that Atalanta have identified Strasbourg’s Diego Moreira as a potential replacement for Ademola Lookman, if the Nigerian completes a rumoured move to Inter this summer. Traditionally a left-winger, Strasbourg’s Moreira has recently transitioned to fill in at a more defensive position.

However, La Dea appear focused first and foremost on signing a new striker. Aside from Beto, Daghim and Raspadori, the reports indicate that Genk’s Tolu Arokodare is also appreciated by the Bergamo side.
