Everton are interested in signing Fulham ace Harry Wilson this summer when his contract expires, according to Sky Sports.

The Toffees are looking for attacking reinforcements, and Wilson fits the bill. He is an experienced player who could strengthen many top-half Premier League sides.

He has been sensational this term, bagging 10 goals and six assists in 35 league appearances.

Everton could use another winger in the squad, with Dwight McNeil and Tyler Dibling massively underwhelming this season.

A front four of Iliman Ndiaye, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and Wilson behind a competent centre-forward will be a force to be reckoned with.

Wilson is just the kind of signing that can reinvigorate the Toffees for next season, providing inspiration in the final third.

However, Everton are not alone in the race, as Aston Villa and a host of other European outfits are chasing the former Liverpool man.

Wilson feels like the perfect market opportunity for Everton.

On a free transfer, they would be signing a proven attacker without draining precious funds from a squad that still has glaring weaknesses across multiple positions.

His arrival would instantly push McNeil down the pecking order after another frustratingly inconsistent campaign, while also taking pressure off Dibling.

Dibling should not be relied upon to carry creative responsibility at this stage of his career.

A loan move where he can play regularly and develop away would probably benefit the player and club far more than another season at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

Signing Wilson for nothing would give Everton flexibility in the market.

Everton still need reinforcements at right-back, defensive midfield and centre-forward, while another explosive winger would not go amiss either.

The goalkeeper department may also need attention, with the club potentially seeking a reliable back-up option.
