It is an important game for both sides as each are very much in the race for European qualification, and playing after their rivals will add a layer of intrigue to proceedings.

Man United are targeting a place in the Champions League following a mini-revival since Michael Carrick was named head coach until the end of the season.

So far, Carrick has overseen four wins and a draw to put Man Utd in an advantageous position to secure a top-four finish come May.

Everton, meanwhile, are in the hunt for a Conference League spot as things stand, but can move to within five points of the Red Devils with a first home win since December and perhaps target a top-six finish.

Date, kick-off time and venue

Everton vs Manchester United is scheduled for a 8pm GMT kick-off on Monday, February 23, 2026.

The match will take place at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

Everton vs Manchester United prediction

Both teams will be fresh having not played since February 10 as a result of being eliminated from the FA Cup at the third round.

Everton are struggling at home, failing to win any of their last six in all competitions and that should offer encouragement to Man United on their first visit to the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

These are the games United need to win if they’re to remain favourites for a Champions League spot and we expect the momentum gained under Carrick to continue here.

Manchester United to win, 3-1.
