Evertton Araújo suspended for Athletico-PR trip after booking against Grêmio | OneFootball

Flamengo will be without Evertton Araújo for the Campeonato Brasileiro trip to Athletico-PR on Sunday 17 at Arena da Baixada. Coluna Do Fla reports that the club’s absentee list continues to grow.

The midfielder collected his third yellow card during the meeting with Grêmio on Sunday 10. He was booked at 47 minutes of the first half for a foul on Francis Amuzu.

His earlier cautions both came away from home, first against Vitória, then Atlético-MG. He was also sent off against Corinthians in São Paulo.

Jorginho also received a third yellow against Grêmio and is suspended. Saúl Ñíguez and De La Cruz are available. Erick Pulgar and Lucas Paquetá remain out in the medical department.

Before facing Athletico-PR, Flamengo turn to the Copa do Brasil. They visit Vitória on Thursday 14 at 21:30 Brasília time in Salvador for the second leg of the fifth phase.
