Mudryk hasn’t played for Chelsea since he scored in a 2-0 win against Heidenheim in the Conference League in November 2024.
The Ukrainian has been charged by the FA and faces a ban of up to four years if found guilty, with the process currently still ongoing.
Mudryk is currently training on his own at non league side Uxbridge FC, where he’s trying to keep himself fit ahead of a return to football.
The winger has always maintained his innocence, and it very much feels like his case is more complex than other previous doping cases.
Palkin has been very supportive of Mudryk, and in an interview earlier this month he revealed the 25-year-old’s mood wasn’t good amid his continued absence from football.
Mudryk’s future remains unclear, but Palkin believes an outcome will be reached soon, and feels it will be a positive one.
“We have €30 million [of] bonuses in his contract. And if he is not playing, if Chelsea [are] not reaching results, we are losing €30m. That’s a big financial impact for us,” he told ESPN.
“Therefore, everybody believes that this story will finish as soon as possible with positive results and Mudryk will return to playing. Otherwise, we will be in a position to lose €30m.”

The Blues are said to have also looked into a return for Mo Salah, but fans are likely to remain very sceptical that either of these things actually happened.
