Ex Bayern Munich Star Outlines Inter Milan Ambitions: “Serie A Or Champions League? Win Both!’ | OneFootball

Defender Benjamin Pavard says that Inter Milan want to win both the Serie A and the Champions League this season.

The Frenchman spoke to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, via FCInterNews. He refused to choose just one of the two major competitions.

Inter now know the path that’s before them in the Champions League.

Next month, the Nerazzurri will face Feyenoord in a two-legged round of sixteen tie.

Then, the likes of Bayern Munich and Barcelona are among the potential opponents Inter could face on their side of the bracket.

In the meantime, though, there is also Serie A for Inter to worry about.

The Nerazzurri take on Genoa tomorrow evening. Then, the following weekend it will be the massive top-of-the-table clash with Napoli.

Inter have dropped a number of points in the league table in February. That has made the title race appear more fierce than ever.

Pavard: “Inter Milan Want To Win Both Serie A & Champions League”

Defender Benjamin Pavard wasn’t hiding Inter’s ambitions.

“We play to win,” the Frenchman declared. “And we want to win everything.”

“Of course I believe in the possibility of going all the way in all competitions.”

And asked to choose between the Serie A title and the Champions League, Pavard exclaimed “Both!”

“It’s not easy to confirm your place at the top. Because football is tough.”

“But we just have to focus on ourselves,” the Frenchman said of the title race.

And of Inter’s struggles to win big matches against direct rivals in Serie A this season, Pavard sad that “If we want to go all the way and win the Scudetto, we just have to focus on winning the next match.”

Meanwhile, of the Serie A title race, Pavard insisted that “Napoli have more pressure.”

“We won the title last season,” said the former Bayern Munich and Stuttgart defender. “And now everyone wants to beat us.”

“They’re top of the table right now. But we’re used to playing matches where there’s a lot of pressure.”
