Inter beat RB Leipzig in the Champions League on Tuesday. This was their fourth win in a row in the competition.

In the first half, Inter dominated the Bundesliga team.

The Nerazzurri were only able to score one goal, but created far more chances as they put the Leipzig penalty area under constant pressure.

The second half of the match was a bit of a different story.

Inter were unable to score a second goal. This gave Leipzig some hope of getting back into the match, and they staged a late onslaught.

But Inter held out well defensively. They kept their perfect defensive record in the Champions League record in attack to take the three points.

Di Canio: “Inter Milan Greatly Superior To RB Leipzig” In Champions League Win

Former Italy striker Di Canio gave his thoughts on Inter’s win over Leipzig as well as Atalanta’s 6-1 demolition of Swiss side Young Boys.

“They were different matches,” he said.

“Atalanta did something brilliant. They had the mentality of a top team.”

Di Canio argued Atalanta “showed respect for their opposition by never stopping, they kept playing.”

“Inter were just greatly superior,” he said of the Nerazzurri’s match. “They were in full control.”

“They won with an own goal and then managed the game well.”

“It’s not like if Leipzig had nicked a draw it would have been the end of the world,” Di Canio argued. “But Inter do need to finish more of their chances.”

“Sometimes you just need the win. And there, it arrived.”
