Former Orlando Pirates head coach Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic began his tenure as the new boss of ES Setif with a draw on Thursday.
Setif played to a goalless draw with second-placed MC Oran in the Algerian Ligue 1, with both teams unable to create ample clear-cut goal scoring opportunities.
As a result, Micho's side dropped to 13th place, having accumulated 12 points from 11 league outings in the 16-team championship.
The Serbian mentor has been tasked with steering the club away from the relegation zone as they are currently three points clear of the drop zone with one game in hand.
Setif have registered one win in their last five league matches. Micho will be eager to fine-tune his charges for a strong showing in the second round of the championship.
The eight-time Algerian champions are scheduled to return to action with a clash against Josef Zinnbauer's JS Kabylie on Friday, 19 December before the AFCON in Morocco.
