Former Orlando Pirates coach Josef Zinnbauer saw his JS Kabylie side succumb to a 2-1 defeat to USM Alger in the Algerian Ligue 1 on Monday.
Ahmed Khaldi opened the scoring for USMA on the stroke of halftime, before the Canaries leveled matters through prolific striker Aymen Mahious in the hour mark.
Ex-TP Mazembe midfielder Glody Likonza scored the winning goal for Abdelhak Benchikha's men in the 79th minute to claim the maximum points.
USMA climbed to fourth place with 18 points after 11 matches, while Zinnbauer's charges currently sit ninth with 15 points from 10 games.
Kabylie are winless in their last two Ligue 1 outings and are currently on a four-game winless run across all competitions.
The German mentor will now prepare his troops for a clash against another former Pirates boss in Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic, who recently took over at ES Setif.
