Arsenal are considering bringing forward their plans to sign a new striker, with the Gunners now looking closely at Juventus front-man Dusan Vlahovic as an option for January.
Sources with a close understanding of Arsenal’s plans have informed CaughtOffside that the north London giants had been keen to bring in a new centre-forward, with the feeling being that they would be prepared to wait for Benjamin Sesko next summer.
However, Vlahovic’s contract situation at Juventus has put Arsenal on red alert for a potential January deal, as the Serbia international does not look to be making progress on a new deal with the Serie A giants.
CaughtOffside understands this has also seen Juve look closely at Sesko as a potential target to replace Vlahovic up front, which could cause a domino effect that Arsenal can take advantage of.

With Juventus keen not to lose Vlahovic on the cheap, it could suit them to let the 24-year-old leave this winter, with Arsenal seemingly ready to speed up their pursuit of a signing up front.
This could suit all parties, as AFC would be able to bring in Vlahovic to help them out this season, while the transfer fee of around €60m could go a long way to helping Juventus then move for Sesko in the summer.
Although Vlahovic might not be most Arsenal fans’ dream target up front, he’s shown real quality for much of his career in Italy, and it would be hard not to be an upgrade on the misfiring Gabriel Jesus.
Kai Havertz is playing well up front, but it’s not necessarily his best position for the long term, and Mikel Arteta is also arguably lacking alternatives in that position due to the poor form of Jesus, while backup striker Eddie Nketiah was told in the summer.
