Nicolas Jackson’s Chelsea future is about as uncertain as it could be.

There are a number of teams interested in him, yet it still feels like Chelsea’s high asking price means the Senegal star could end up staying put at Stamford Bridge.

Newcastle have so far felt the most likely destination – the Alexander Isak saga is dragging on, but if the wantaway Swede does go to Liverpool, Jackson is a ready made replacement who is available, and they’ll have the cash to sign him.

Tottenham join the race for Jackson with serious interest

However things may get even more interesting with the news we’ve just got from our sources that Tottenham are also interested in Jackson. Spurs are looking to add more attacking quality following the departure of Heung-min Son and the season ending injury to James Maddison.

Their move for Eberechi Eze has just fallen through, to boot.

It’s easy to see their new manager Thomas Frank being a huge fan of Jackson and his work rate. He’s not perfect, but could bring a lot to a team like Spurs.

Our source tells us that Tottenham “have made contact with Jackson in case Richarlison leaves.” That would bring them the €60-70m they might need to make a deal happen. For their part, Chelsea have shown in recent windows that they don’t mind selling to rivals one bit.

Multiple teams want Jackson – but who will pay what it takes?

Any move for Jackson still feels far off to us – but there are certainly no shortage of teams who could be interested. Chelsea are in a strong position, knowing they still have use for him if he sticks around. There are bound to be teams getting desperate as the deadline arrives.

Aston Villa, Manchester United, AC Milan and Bayern Munich are all named by our source as teams who have shown a degree of interest. Whether any will stump up the cash we want is a different question.
