An exclusive report is claiming that Chelsea are one of the clubs interested in signing a 26-year-old Liverpool star.

We are only just a week or so after the summer window and already we are starting to hear some rumours about the January transfer window – you can expect much more of that over the coming weeks and months as we head into the Autumn and winter months soon.

We had lots to digest from the summer transfer window, with the Nicolas Jackson transfer story being the biggest one of those final days. And that story has even spilled into this week still as well, with a confusion around whether Bayern Munich will be looking to sign Jackson on a permanent deal next summer or not. There’s been a suggestion that they could still try and sign him even without the obligation agreement on the loan deal.

And then there is the story of Raheem Sterling, who has reportedly changed his mind on his future and is set to stay at the club until at least January.

Chelsea keen on Konate

Already we are hearing about the January window, and Chelsea are apparently interested in signing Liverpool defender Ibrahima Konate.

The 26-year-old is now in his final year of his contract and there has been a bit of a stalemate so far on agreeing a new deal with Liverpool.

Liverpool might have to sell

According to sources close to Empire of the Kop, Liverpool may be forced to consider offers for the defender in January so that they don’t run the risk of losing him on a free transfer next summer if a new contract isn’t agreed in the meantime.

Chelsea are joined in their interest by Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid, and Los Blancos’ chief scout is preparing to travel to England in an attempt to secure a deal for the centre back.
