Don Goodman has spoken to FLW about the potential of Brighton recalling Amario Cozier-Duberry from his loan spell at Bolton Wanderers.
Sky Sports pundit Don Goodman believes Brighton & Hove Albion will have a “dilemma” over whether to recall Bolton Wanderers star Amario Cozier-Duberry following his excellent start to life in League One.
The Trotters are on the periphery of the play-off places under Steven Schumacher and have won three out of their last four league games, including an impressive home win over league title favourites Cardiff City.
Cozier-Duberry has been a massive part of their start to the campaign, providing five goals and five assists in all competitions while turning into one of the first names on the teamsheet.
He’s proven again the impact he can make at this level, grabbing a goal and an assist in their dramatic away victory at Huddersfield Town, while scoring a late winner over the Bluebirds to spell pandemonium inside the Toughsheet Community Stadium.
With the winger proving himself to be an asset at this level, there have been rumours circulating that Brighton could recall the prodigy and loan him out to a Championship club for the second half of the season.
Back in September, Sheffield United were said to be interested in exploring a loan deal for Cozier-Duberry in a bid to bolster their attack, and it remains to be seen what Brighton will do as the new year approaches.
As speculation about Cozier-Duberry’s future at Bolton continues to linger, Sky Sports pundit Don Goodman has commented on what he thinks Brighton will do, and whether he can see the 20-year-old remaining at Bolton for the remainder of the campaign.

Speaking exclusively to Football League World, Sky Sports pundit Don Goodman believes Premier League outfit Brighton & Hove Albion will have a “dilemma” whether to recall Amario Cozier-Duberry from his loan spell at Bolton Wanderers, but admits an exit could disrupt his development.
Goodman said: “I suppose it all depends upon the terms of the loan deal, if there’s a call-back clause, but you never know Brighton might feel he’s at the right club and at the right level to keep developing.
“If he stays in League One, scores another five goals and gets another five assists in the second half of the season, then it can only be good for his confidence.
“The alternative is, like we saw with Louie Barry last season, that a club calls him back, loans him out to a slightly higher level, and it doesn’t work out, so it’s a little bit of a dilemma.
“As a player, you will always want to play at the highest level, so if Cozier-Duberry gets the opportunity to go to a decent Championship club, then you would imagine it would be difficult to turn that down.”

There’s no doubt Bolton Wanderers will want to keep hold of Amario Cozier-Duberry given the start to the season he's made.
The winger has been a livewire and arguably their biggest creative threat, with his contributions already helping Bolton to pick up points that might not have been claimed without his presence.
He’s also developed a habit of delivering late contributions, coming off the bench to score a stoppage-time equaliser in their eventual penalty shootout defeat to Sheffield Wednesday in the EFL Cup, popping up to score a 94th-minute equaliser at Leyton Orient and most recently netting late in an unforeseen turnaround at Huddersfield Town, typifying the start to life he has made.
Such a brilliant start is always likely to earn interest from clubs in the division above, and Sheffield United are unsurprisingly a side in the race for his signature, given the Blades need an extra source of creativity as their struggles continue under Chris Wilder.
Ultimately, the decision rests with Brighton, with no information present about whether Albion hold a right to recall him in January.
This decision could prove pivotal to Bolton’s promotion hopes this season, and everybody connected with the club will be hopeful that Cozier-Duberry can stay on for the remainder of the campaign and help the club get back to the second-tier after a seven-year exodus.
