Giovanni Leoni and Liverpool: the first call came on August 5 from Gianluigi Longari – until that moment, the 2006-born centre-back had never been linked with the Reds.

Parma starlet Leoni dubbed ‘future of Italy’

The 18-year-old centre-back had his breakthrough season with Parma in the 2024-25 campaign, playing 17 matches in Serie A for the Gialloblu club and showing that, despite his age, he has a lot to offer already.
