We are hearing from yet another former Chelsea player this week who is stating the obvious issues in the current squad.

The Blues came from a goal down to score two very late goals to win the game 2-1 against Fulham at Craven Cottage on Sunday afternoon in what was a very dramatic game of ups and downs. But for 80 minutes, it was a lot of downs for Chelsea and the woes were continuing. Thankfully, they managed to get two late goals from individual brilliance to win the game.

EXCLUSIVE! Some Chelsea players not enjoying playing under Enzo Maresca this season!

Still, manager Enzo Maresca did not celebrate the Chelsea win over with the away fans like all the players did at the end of the game, which was very odd. But he has explained his reasoning for this in the post match press conference, although it wont wash.

The fans were furious throughout most of the game though and certainly let the manager and the players know this at half time and throughout the game. Pedro Neto responded to the fan anger in his post-match comments after the game on Sunday.

Although Chelsea won this game, they are currently 6th in the Premier League and one of the biggest problems with this squad is that it lacks experience and strong mentalities, something that has been picked up on by all of us fans, so many former Chelsea players, journalists, and pundits. We all see it, why don’t the Chelsea owners and sporting directors!?

Demba Ba speaks

We rarely hear from former Chelsea striker Demba Ba, but he has done a rare interview with The Sun this week.

Ba said:

“Someone like Cole Palmer doesn’t have much experience in football, or even in life. Football is life, and there will be tough days.

“But if you have an experienced figure to lean on, you can get through the storm.

“Palmer is in a rough patch, and although he is managing with his personality and continuing to perform, something is missing.

“He could benefit immensely from having someone who has been in that situation before to guide him.

“I wouldn’t say Chelsea is lacking strikers. If you look at a player like Nkunku, he’s trying to make a name for himself in the Premier League.

“However, the issue is experience and personality. They need someone who has the personality to handle the pressure, someone who can endure pain but also command the respect of the younger players in the team.”
