Arsenal’s hopes of landing Eberechi Eze have taken a significant step forward following Al Ahli’s confirmation of Enzo Millot’s signing from Stuttgart, as reported by The Standard. The Saudi Pro League side have tied the 23-year-old attacking midfielder to a three-year deal, with local media valuing the move at around £25.9 million.
Millot’s impact at Stuttgart was substantial. Since arriving in 2021, he amassed 43 appearances last season alone, contributing 12 goals and eight assists. His standout moment came in May when he scored twice in Stuttgart’s 4-2 German Cup final win over Arminia Bielefeld. His departure leaves a creative void that Stuttgart are keen to fill quickly.
According to The Standard, Stuttgart have already held talks with Arsenal over a potential deal for Fabio Vieira, which could see the Portuguese midfielder depart the Emirates permanently. This potential sale is viewed as the trigger for Arsenal to intensify their push for Eze, the Crystal Palace talisman admired by Mikel Arteta.

“It has been widely reported that the Gunners would make a move for Eze once they have sold the Portuguese playmaker,” the report notes. Stuttgart’s newfound funds from Millot’s exit could accelerate that process.
Despite spending nearly £200 million this summer, Arsenal remain active in the market. “Let’s see what happens, in terms of where the squad is in the next few weeks,” Arteta said after a 3-0 win over Athletic Club. “But, we are actively looking at options. As well, there are a few players that, maybe, they have to leave as well. So, we will be open to see what happens.”
The transfer window narrative now centres on whether Vieira’s departure can pave the way for Eze’s arrival, potentially adding another dimension to Arsenal’s attacking threat.
From an Arsenal fan’s perspective, this feels like a transfer domino effect worth getting excited about. Eberechi Eze has been one of the Premier League’s most creative and dynamic players over the past two seasons, capable of unlocking defences with both dribbling and vision. If Vieira’s move to Stuttgart becomes official, the funds and squad space could be the final green light for the deal fans have been waiting for.
That said, there’s always a note of caution. Arsenal have been in similar positions before, with targets slipping away late in the window due to negotiations dragging or rival bids arriving. Palace will not let Eze go cheaply, and with other clubs monitoring him, timing is crucial.
Mikel Arteta’s comments hint at both incoming and outgoing movement, which could make the final weeks of the window frantic. While £200 million has already been invested, the addition of Eze could be the missing piece for a title push, giving Arsenal a player who can thrive both centrally and out wide.
For now, fans will be watching two developments closely: Stuttgart’s pursuit of Vieira and any signals from Selhurst Park. If both align, the Emirates could welcome a game-changing arrival before the deadline.
