Eberechi Eze says “words can’t explain” how he feels after scoring a hat-trick in Arsenal’s 4-1 north London derby win over Tottenham in the Premier League.
Leandro Trossard opened the scoring before Eze added a second and a third. Richarlison scored a consolation goal for Spurs to make it 3-1, but the English midfielder added his third and Arsenal’s fourth to put any hope of a Spurs comeback to bed.
He emphasised how special it felt to score those goals against Arsenal’s rivals.
“Enjoyable day. Happy to help the team and to win today was a special,” he said to Sky Sports after the match.
“It’s special. I am grateful. I prayed for it. This is what I pray for. I prayed for a hat-trick so I am grateful to God.
“That was the prayer today. God gave it to me and that is faith, man. All my family is here and that makes it even more special for me.”
He was asked after about which one was his favourite: “They are all good. Maybe the second one.” he said.
“That was my favourite. All of them are good for me because I have been working on the process to get in that position so that’s good again.”
