Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano delivered a big bit of Chelsea transfer news right ahead of their Club World Cup match last night.
Chelsea beat Los Angeles FC 2-0 in their Club World Cup opening group game last night in what was a very strange and subdued atmosphere in front of just 22,000 people in a huge stadium.
It was far from vintage Chelsea but in the end they just got the job done and three points on the board to set them up for a good starts.
The goals came from a lovely Nicolas Jackson assist to Pedro Neto to finish in the first half. And then new signing Liam Delap also provided a superb assist for Enzo Fernandez to run into the box and tap in to score.
Despite the win, defender Levi Colwill has admitted that his team were not perfect and they can do better after conceding too many chances last night.
But as he also explains, tournament football and in fact any game at all, is just always about winning. If you win the game, that is always essentially all that matters and Chelsea did the job last night.

Right before the game kicked off last night, Romano put out some Chelsea transfer news on new winger pursuits after fresh links to a new name yesterday.
‘Chelsea consider Jamie Bynoe-Gittens as their priority target as winger with talks to follow with BVB. Agreement still sealed with the player side.
‘Chelsea have also made an inquiry for Malick Fofana in direct contact with Lyon, but no proposal at this stage.’
Sounds like Chelsea still just pushing the most on Gittens then.
