Transfer by transfer, Chelsea’s summer is coming together.
There have been 3 stages so far. The players like Dario Essugo and Estevao Willian, who arrived after being signed before the window opened.
Then there was the Club World Cup deals, including Liam Delap and Joao Pedro who arrived in time to play at the tournament, and Jamie Gittens who will head to Cobham after his holidays.

Now we’re into stage 3 – the sales.
A few players have already gone, and a few are close to the exit. In most cases we know who is likely to go, but in others it’s much less clear.
In the case of Nicolas Jackson, it seems that Chelsea will listen to offers, but aren’t otherwise desperate to flog him. Fabrizio Romano has just given an update on his Youtube channel:
“Chelsea have informed Manchester United on conditions of deal for Nicolas Jackson,” the top insider explained.
“Manchester United still discussing their striker target internally and sales will be important.
“Chelsea are not desperate to sell the striker.”
Usually we can tell which way the wind is blowing with a transfer – in this case we genuinely think it’s a coin toss whether Jackson stays or goes. If a big offer comes in Chelsea will take it, and there are a few teams out there who could make that offer.
Will they? It’s impossible to say just yet. Man U are a prime option, and we can see them paying what we want, but it will likely depend on their success pursuing other targets first. Chelsea know the Senegal star is set to drop down the pecking order, and it could make sense to cash in now.
The Jackson story could be one which goes on all summer.
