Newcastle have spoken to the representatives of Nicolas Jackson several times, with the player keen on a move to St James’ Park according to Fabrizio Romano.

Jackson has seen his future questioned following the arrival of both Liam Delap and Joao Pedro this summer, with the latter in particular making a huge impact.

Reportedly it’s over between Jackson and Chelsea, and the 24-year-old wasn’t part of the squad for the games against Bayer Leverkusen and AC Milan last week.

Newcastle have spoken to representatives of Nicolas Jackson

Jackson signed a two year contract extension last year keeping him at Stamford Bridge until 20233, but it appears things have changed.

The Senegalese endured a difficult campaign last season in which he managed just ten league goals, whilst his Club World Cup campaign was a disappointment.

Chelsea are said to value Jackson at £80m, but reportedly clubs believe they can negotiate that price down, although no official offers have been made.

There’s said to be interest from Italian giants AC Milan and Juventus, whilst Jackson is thought to be top of Newcastle’s list after they missed out on Benjamin Sesko.

It’s also been reported if a move away fails to materialise Chelsea are happy to welcome Jackson back to the first team picture.

However, Romano via X account TransferSector has reported Newcastle have been in contact with Jackson’s representatives on several occasions, with the play keen on a move to the North East.

Chelsea looking to close deals for Simons and Garnacho

Whilst Jackson appears to be on his way out, Chelsea are working to close deals for Xavi Simons and Alejandro Garnacho before the end of the window.

Chelsea are said to be in advanced negotiations for Simons, but are yet to make an official bid for the 22-year-old, who’s believed to be keen on the move.

The Blues have agreed personal terms with Garnacho, and are now thought to be in discussions with Manchester United over a fee, but Chelsea reportedly don’t want to pay more than £30m.
