Gray was outstanding for Spurs in Champions League win
Igor Tudor has praised “incredible” Archie Gray for the quality and maturity he has been showing for Tottenham.
The versatile 20-year-old starred in Wednesday’s 3-2 win over Atletico Madrid and that display continued his fine individual form, despite Spurs exiting the Champions League 7-5 on aggregate.
Tudor hailed Gray as an “incredible guy playing all positions” and praised his mentality.
“He's a guy, you know the positions he plays everywhere, so probably this position in the middle is, I believe, the best one for him,” said Tudor.

“But he's playing continually in the right way, in a good way. It's a mix of quality, physically and mentally, to always make the right choices and be humble and have the legs to do so.
“He needs to continue this. He’s still young, so every day he needs a new confirmation [of what he can do].”
Tudor continued: “Together with Pape [Matar Sarr], I see them very well, there's a quality between these two players. The last two games, they really made a difference.”
Gray has been one of the big positives in a difficult season for Spurs and he was also praised by TNT Sports pundits Les Ferdinand and Owen Hargreaves.
Hargreaves said: “Archie was fabulous.
“When he wants, he can play quickly. I think sometimes in these games, players take too many touches. Archie did everything very quickly, and I thought he was incredibly effective.”
Ferdinand said: “I thought he was brilliant.”
Gray received a standing ovation when he was substituted late on and Atletico midfielder Marcos Llorente acknowledged his performance by going over shaking his hand.
Spurs face relegation rivals Nottingham Forest on Sunday in a critical match in their fight to stay in the Premier League.
Tudor said: “It’s important. Not decisive - but we need to recover now and see who is in the best condition to play.”
