Aleksandar Pavlovic has developed from a campus talent to a regular at FC Bayern. Now the midfielder has cleared up a persistent rumor from his youth days
Aleksandar Pavlovic is now a permanent fixture in FC Bayern’s midfield. Over the past few years, the 21-year-old has developed from a youth player into an important component of the professional squad. According to Pavlovic, however, there were never any thoughts of a move at a young age
In an interview with Sky, the Bayern professional responded to a rumor that he had thought about leaving Munich during his time at U15 and U16 level. Pavlovic clarified: „That’s a false rumor. I never thought about leaving Bayern.“
The midfielder explained that his goal was set early on: „I always wanted to make it here, I never gave up and always kept going. Even when it was a difficult time because I was small and physically still too little. But leaving FC Bayern was not an option for me.“
Pavlovic moved to FC Bayern from the youth ranks of SC Fürstenfeldbruck back in 2011 and has since progressed through all the youth ranks at the record champions. Today, he is regarded as one of Munich’s most important home-grown talents
He believed he could make his breakthrough at FC Bayern at an early age. Pavlovic describes this mentality as formative for his entire career path: „That was always my motto, even when I was little. That I always want to win, always want to achieve everything. I also got that from my parents when I was growing up. That’s why there’s always one motto for me: be a winner, not a loser.“

The statements once again underline how strongly Pavlovic identifies with FC Bayern. The midfielder also explained that it would be „the best thing“ for him to spend his entire career with the record champions
It seems that Pavlovic’s journey from campus talent to a permanent fixture in the professional team is far from over.
