'Fantastic news!': Leeds United fan 'Little Mick' found safe in Barcelona | OneFootball

A Leeds United fan who had been missing has been found safe and well in Barcelona.

On Wednesday morning, his brother, Gary Hewitt, said in a social media post that Michael "Little Mick" Hewitt, 65, had been unaware of the search.

He travelled from Leeds to Barcelona last week, where he was due to catch a connecting flight to Boston for England's group-stage match against Ghana.

He had been missing since 21 June, and after 10 days without contact his family reported him missing as appeals spread across the media and the football community.

The family had hoped for a simple, happy resolution and said they would share more once authorities were notified and normality returned. They thanked everyone who helped and sent good wishes, noting what can be achieved when people go Marching on Together.
