Faso Cup 2026: Rahimo FC eliminated

A stunning upset! Rahimo FC, the defending champions and current leaders of the Faso Foot Premier League, have crashed out of the 2026 Faso Cup at the quarterfinal stage. On Wednesday, the club of former Burkina Faso international Rahim Ouédraogo suffered a 1-0 defeat to Vitesse FC.

Rahimo Football Club will not be present in the semifinals of the 2026 Faso Cup. No one expected Vitesse FC to pull off the win! But that’s exactly what happened (1-0) thanks to a penalty converted by Ibrahim Diakité. Rahimo FC, the 2025 cup holders and current league leaders, were knocked out in the quarterfinals on March 4th at the Wobi Stadium in Bobo-Dioulasso.

The other two matches played on March 4th secured semifinal tickets for both Real du Faso and CFFEB.

Real du Faso overcame ASFB to reach the semifinals of the competition for the second year in a row.

Meanwhile, the Centre de Formation de Football Espoir Burkina (CFFEB) advanced on penalties (4-3) against SC Majestic after a goalless draw (0-0) in regulation time.

The final semifinalist will be determined on March 5th after the clash between EFO and Sporting Cascades.
