Bayern Munich CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen has firmly shut down the speculation linking Michael Olise with a move to Real Madrid, insisting the Spanish giants have made no approach for the French winger.
Speaking to Maximilian Koch of Abendzeitung, Dreesen was asked whether Olise would remain at Bayern, responding with a confident: “Yes, of course.”
The CEO then dismissed the transfer rumours entirely, revealing there had been “no call, no letter, and no fax from Madrid.”
Olise is under contract at the Allianz Arena until 2029, with reports suggesting Bayern are also working towards agreeing fresh terms with one of their standout performers. Dreesen, however, stressed that any contract negotiations remain the responsibility of the club’s sporting management.
“That’s a matter for the sporting management [Max Eberl and Christoph Freund]. But he’s under contract until 2029, so we’re in a very comfortable position. The fact that people are talking about him is proof of how much he’s developed under Vincent Kompany. The player appreciates that immensely as well.”
Dreesen’s comments should finally bring an end to the speculation, with Bayern remaining in a strong position to retain one of their most important players for the foreseeable future.
