FC Porto v Sporting set for nine February, one day after presidential runoff | OneFootball

FC Porto v Sporting will be played at Estádio do Dragão at 20:45 on Monday nine February, Liga Portugal confirmed. Porto lead the league, Sporting are reigning back to back champions and sit second.

The match is part of round 21 and falls the day after the presidential runoff between António José Seguro and André Ventura, the two leading candidates after last Sunday, when the PS-backed candidate took 31% and the Chega leader 23%. Three league fixtures are set for the runoff day, including Benfica v Alverca in Lisbon at 20:30.

Also scheduled are Nacional v Casa Pia in Funchal at 15:30, then Braga host Rio Ave at 18:00.

Round 21 is preceded by the Taça de Portugal quarter final between Sporting and Aves SAD on five February at 20:45. If Sporting win, two more clássicos could follow in the semi finals. Also listed is the first leg of the semis between Fafe and Torreense on four February at 20:15.

Round 20 begins with the Guimarães derby, Vitória v Moreirense, on Friday 30 January at 20:45 and ends with Porto away to Casa Pia in Rio Maior the following Monday at 20:45.

In that round, Sporting host Nacional on one February at 18:00, while Benfica visit Tondela at 20:30 that Sunday.
