Serie A clubs have been linked with a move for Federico Chiesa for many months now. The winger has now made up his mind about his situation at Liverpool.

The winger’s time at Anfield has been rather problematic for his career. Arne Slot never showed a willingness to use him and his exit has now had an impact on the Italian’s decision.

Mirko Di Natale has reported that despite Juventus being interested in bringing Chiesa back and Como offering him Champions League football, the Liverpool player is keen on staying in Merseyside.

He is determined to make a mark under Andoni Iraola, having fallen out of favour under Slot. As a result, his Reds exit will only go through if they force him out in the summer.

Chiesa shouldn’t take risks

The winger is at a point in his career where he can’t afford to waste away any more months. His stock has faded and he can’t be letting that happen anymore.

Staying at Liverpool presents an avoidable risk. Returning to Italy would be much more attractive and hand him the chance to return to the mainstream picture.
