Federico Ravaglia’s comments after the match: ‘We wanted this victory. Lecce defended well and allowed us little, it was a hard-fought victory but perhaps for this very reason it tasted sweeter. We prepared for the game in detail and we were good at believing in it until the end. These are three points that will power us forward on this path. After a period that was not easy, continuity is the most important thing to show that we have reacted and learned from our mistakes. I am delighted with Ferguson’s return, when he came on the pitch the whole Dall’Ara created an incredible atmosphere. We know how much he suffered from the injury that happened to him at the best moment of his career and what he gave up between the end of last season and the European Championship. We’ve seen him work so hard and with perseverance for all these months, he deserves his return to the group and I wish him all the best’.
