Fenerbahçe have lodged a substantial bid, around €27m, to sign Lazio midfielder Mattéo Guendouzi this winter, according to L'Équipe.
The club from Türkiye have stepped up efforts in recent days to land the France international, 26, who has 14 caps and two goals.

Exchanges with Lazio have taken place over several days. The proposal has not convinced the Italian club at this stage.
Fenerbahçe are aware they must act quickly, with two Premier League clubs making enquiries over the past two days. Neither has submitted an offer to Lazio and their identities are not known.
Personal terms with Guendouzi have not been agreed. The former Marseille midfielder joined Lazio in summer 2023 and is under contract until 2028.
