Barcelona came from behind to claim a 4-2 victory over Slavia Prague in the Champions League last night.

Fermin Lopez squandered an opportunity to give Barcelona an early lead, blazing the ball over the crossbar inside the area.

Moments later, Slavia scored the opener. Tomas Holes flicked a corner for Vasil Kusej to bundle the ball home, ending the hosts’ five-game scoreless run in the competition.

Barcelona drew level after the half-hour mark, as Raphinha combined with Frenkie de Jong. The Dutchman picked out Lopez, who struck the ball into the net.

The Spaniard then put Barcelona ahead with a superb strike, cutting onto his right foot, before curling the ball into the corner for his second of the game.

Lopez has now contributed to seven goals in six games, becoming only the second Spanish player for Barcelona to achieve this in the competition’s history, after Luis Enrique in the 1999/2000 season.

The visitors’ lead only lasted for two minutes, as Robert Lewandowski turned the ball into his own net, ensuring the sides headed into the break level.

De Jong thought he had restored the visitors’ lead after the break, but his effort was ruled offside.

Dani Olmo made it 3-2, blasting an unstoppable shot into the far corner from the edge of the area.

Lewandowski lifted the ball over the onrushing goalkeeper to seal the victory.

The Catalan club are ninth in the standings, one place behind the last automatic qualification spot for the round of 16.
