Having to give a guard of honour to Liverpool must have stung everyone connected to Chelsea, but it took them just three minutes to start spoiling the red party.
Having done the same duties back in 2020 the last time the Anfield club won the title, Chelsea had to suck it up again against one of their fiercest rivals.
A few moments later, it went from forced clapping to joyous celebrations as Enzo Fernández gave them a crucial lead, finishing off a fine team move that also involved Cole Palmer and Pedro Neto.
A win today would put Chelsea in the box seat for Champions League qualification, and they've made a good start of it thanks to their Argentinian midfielder, who now has six goals and seven assists for the league season.
