Fernando Diniz appointed Corinthians head coach until December 2026 | OneFootball

Corinthians have appointed Fernando Diniz on a deal to December 2026. He will report to CT Joaquim Grava on Tuesday to meet the squad and take his first training session.

Diniz replaces Dorival Júnior and has only two days of work before Corinthians open their Conmebol Libertadores campaign. They face Argentina’s Platense at Estadio Ciudad de Vicente López on Thursday, 21:00 Brasília time.

In his announcement video he spoke of intensity, emotion, courage and the way the Fiel live the club, saying his heart already beats to their rhythm and that he is ready.

Léo Porto joins as assistant and Wagner Bertelli as fitness coach as part of Diniz’s backroom staff.

His brief is to steer the team back to winning form and to revive the football shown in the decisive stages of last year’s Copa do Brasil. In that final, Corinthians beat Vasco, who were then managed by Diniz.
