Fiel reject resting players, want full-strength Corinthians for Chapecoense trip | OneFootball

Corinthians supporters have rejected resting players for the trip to Chapecoense, with 61.8% opposing the move in a poll conducted on Tuesday, according to Meu Timao.

That view clashes with Dorival Júnior’s plan for Santa Catarina, where he will rotate his squad.

A further 32.4% backed resting some players, while 5.9% said they understood and supported the coaching staff’s decision.

Among those preserved are centre-back Gabriel Paulista, midfielder André Carrillo and forward Memphis Depay, none of whom travelled to Arena Condá in Chapecó.

The club are also mindful of suspensions. Full-backs Matheuzinho and Matheus Bidu, plus midfielder Raniele, have two cautions in this Brasileiro and, if shown a yellow card in Chapecó, will miss the meeting with Flamengo.

Corinthians visit Chapecoense at 21:30. They return to Itaquera next round to face Flamengo at 20:30 in round eight, before the final FIFA window ahead of the World Cup pause.
