FIFA punishes three African clubs

FIFA sanctions three African clubs
FIFA has once again cracked down in Africa. Three clubs from the continent have been officially banned from signing new players due to unresolved financial disputes with players or coaches. The affected teams are Golden Arrows (South Africa), Al Anwar (Libya), and African Stars FC (Namibia), all sanctioned for failing to comply with decisions issued by FIFA's dispute resolution bodies.
According to information released by the world governing body, the ban will remain "until full payment of all outstanding amounts." This severe measure immediately blocks any transfer activity, both in the winter and summer windows.
FIFA emphasizes that these bans are intended to "ensure contractual integrity and protect the rights of players," a stance in line with its tough approach toward clubs in violation. For the three sanctioned teams, the situation is all the more critical as some of the disputes date back several seasons and involve unpaid wages as well as outstanding severance payments.
