European powerhouse Germany are set to open their Group E campaign at FIFA World Cup 26™ when they take on tournament debutants Curaçao in Houston, Texas.
Here's everything you need to look out for in a meeting of opposites.
Julian Nagelsmann's outfit come into the summer showdown in rip-roaring form and on their day are capable of putting on a show in front of goal, hitting the back of the net at least four times in three of their last five outings.
Curaçao, fresh off a shock qualification campaign in CONCACAF, will look to frustrate Germany at every turn, but recent friendly results do not paint a positive picture for what could unfold at NRG Stadium.

With the news that Bayern Munich wunderkind Lennart Karl misses out due to injury, keep an eye on Stuttgart goalscoring ace, Deniz Undav.
While Germany boasts a plethora of attacking talent with Florian Wirtz, Jamal Musiala, Kai Havertz, Leroy Sané, and youngster Assan Ouédraogo (Karl's replacement), Undav's return in front of goal (six goals in nine caps) during international service has the potential to elevate their attack to another level.
Fresh off a brilliant club campaign, where he bagged 19 Bundesliga goals (second only to Harry Kane) under Sebastian Hoeneß, the 29-year-old will first hope to take minutes away from the aforementioned Havertz, but has the ability to give Die Mannschaft a ruthlessness in the box.
Dick Advocaat's side are, in relative terms, without too many star names, but do boast former Manchester United youth product Tahith Chong and ex-Birmingham and Rangers midfielder Juninho Bacuna.
