Flamengo face Sampaio Corrêa on Saturday in the sixth round of the Campeonato Carioca, a high stakes meeting given both sides’ delicate positions, and coach Filipe Luís has named his squad.
According to Coluna Do Fla, the squad comprises: Andrew, Ayrton Lucas, B. Henrique, Camargo, Carrascal, Daniel Sales, Daniel Silva, Danilo, Douglas Telles, Dyogo Alves, E. Royal, Erick, E. Cebolinha, Everton Araujo, Guilherme, João Victor, L. Paquetá, Léo Nannetti, Léo Pereira, Luiz Felipe, Pablo Lucio, Pedro, Plata, S. Lino, Vitão and Wallace Yan.
Following the Supercopa do Brasil against Corinthians, Jorginho reported pain in his left thigh, and scans this week confirmed a posterior injury.
Saúl remains sidelined as he recovers from surgery on his left ankle. Luiz Araújo also misses out with discomfort in his right thigh.
Seven players have been rested for this fixture. Rossi, Varela, Alex Sandro, Léo Ortiz, De La Cruz, Allan and Arrascaeta will not feature and trained at CT Ninho do Urubu in the morning.
Flamengo sit second from bottom in Group B with four points and need victory to avoid the relegation quadrangular. Kick-off at the Maracanã is at 21:00, Brasília time.
