Find out how much Corinthians earned as runners-up in the Women's Paulistão

On the morning of this Sunday (14th), Corinthians defeated Palmeiras 1-0 at Canindé Stadium, but ended up as the runner-up in the Paulista Women's Championship for the second consecutive year. The goal for the Brabas was scored by midfielder Gabi Zanotti. In the first match, a week ago, the rival won 5-1 at Arena Barueri.

For the second place in the Paulista Women's Championship, the Brabas collected R$ 340,000 in their coffers, in addition to the R$ 100,000 bonus from the Paulista Football Federation (FPF) to the eight participants of the state tournament for the success of the current edition. Thus, Alvinegro will receive R$ 625,000.00 for their performance in the Paulista of the modality. For participating in the championship, each team received R$ 175,000.

The rival, in turn, received R$ 840,000 for the title, totaling R$ 1,115,000.00 – including the FPF bonuses – in prize money for the competition. The Brabas had the best campaign in the first phase of the state tournament, where they accumulated 35 points in 14 matches (11 wins, two draws, and one loss – 32 goals scored and six conceded).

Before being surpassed by Palmeiras in the final, the Brabas overcame São Paulo in the semifinals with two 2-1 victories, at Arena Barueri and Neo Química Arena, respectively. Now, Lucas Piccinato's team returns to the field at the end of January (28th) to compete in the Women's Club World Cup (Copa das Campeãs), where they will face Gotham FC from the United States in the semifinals, in West London, England.

Additionally, the Brabas will also have the Women's Supercup, Copa do Brasil, Campeonato Paulista, Brasileirão, and Conmebol Libertadores of the modality.
