Fine tuning in final training session before Manchester trip | OneFootball

Julien Duranville, who made his comeback for the U23s at the weekend, rejoined his teammates on the pitch for the first time. Meanwhile, Julian Brandt and Niklas Süle, who had to sit out the game against Augsburg, completed an individual session indoors.

Training began for the players on the pitch with a short talk from coach Niko Kovac, followed by a rendition of happy birthday for coaching staff member Noah Tegatz. Then it was time to warm up: cones, poles, hurdles – the fitness coaches had prepared a varied programme. The session ended with sprints before the Champions League balls were brought into play for passing exercises.

The first 15 minutes of the final session were open to the media, after which the team worked behind closed doors to fine-tune their game plan.
