Marcus Thuram and Lautaro Martinez are expected to lead the line for Inter in Sunday’s Serie A match against Fiorentina, the side against whom the ‘ThuLa’ partnership tasted its first success.

Inter beat Fiorentina 4-0 at home on the third weekend of the 2023-24 season, the first time that both Lautaro Martinez and Thuram ended up on the scoresheet together for the Nerazzurri. The Frenchman opened the scoring, while the captain added a second-half brace.

How Thuram, Lautaro and Kean compare ahead of Fiorentina-Inter

Martinez made it three goals from two appearances against Fiorentina last season when Inter beat La Viola 1-0 away from home in January.

Accounting for the 2023 Coppa Italia final, El Toro has five goals in his last three appearances against Fiorentina.

The Inter strikers have gone from strength to strength since their first game together against Fiorentina last season. It is Thuram who has carried the Nerazzurri in terms of goals this campaign, with nine from his 13 outings in 2024-25, while Lautaro is also among the division’s top scorers with five from his last 11.

They will be met by one of the division’s other highest goalscorers this season in Moise Kean, who, like Thuram, also has nine goals to his name in Serie A this season.
