Leeds United could welcome Jack Harrison back this summer, with Fiorentina decision makers not keen to trigger his £6m option to buy. Corriere dello Sport reports that, as things stand, the winger would return to West Yorkshire when his loan ends.
Harrison moved to Fiorentina on a six-month loan in January after limited minutes under Daniel Farke. He started only once in the Premier League, a 1-0 defeat at Burnley, and made 10 substitute outings without a goal or assist.
Fiorentina, short of wingers, agreed a loan with a £6m right to buy. Since arriving, the 29-year-old has 13 appearances, seven starts, and an assist in a 2-2 draw with Torino, but no goals.
Fiorentina remain in a relegation fight in Serie A, two places and two points above Lecce with eight matches left. Survival would automatically trigger permanent clauses worth around €27m (£23.5m), limiting their summer budget and forcing decisions on loanees whose options are not automatic, including 2024/25 Championship title-winner Manor Solomon.
Solomon could be signed for about £8.7m and, with two goals in 11 appearances, has outshone Harrison if fitness issues clear. Unless there is a sudden change of direction, Harrison looks unlikely to join permanently and would return to Leeds with two years left on his Elland Road deal.
