Fiorentina ‘to offer’ De Gea in Lazio swap for Christos Mandas | OneFootball

Il Tirreno reports that Fiorentina could offer De Gea in exchange for Christos Mandas, with Lazio considering a swap.

Mandas joined Bournemouth on loan in January for 2.5 million with an option to buy for a further 2.5 million. He did not make an appearance in six months at Vitality Stadium and is expected to return to Rome this summer, with Lazio open to cashing in.

De Gea, 35, spent 12 years at Manchester United before leaving in 2023. He then took a year out prior to restarting his career in Florence in 2024.

He made 46 appearances in all competitions for the Viola, conceding 59 and keeping 13 clean sheets. His contract runs until June 2028 and includes a further one-year option.

The mooted swap remains only an idea for now. Fiorentina are seeking to move De Gea on due to a salary of 5.5 million per year, a figure Lazio are unlikely to afford. Juventus and Inter Milan are considered more plausible destinations.
