The championship group is finally coming to Salzburg! On Matchday 24 of the ADMIRAL Bundesliga we are to host FC Blau-Weiß Linz - one of the surprise packages of the season - and we want to continue our winning run with your help.
The Linz side managed to creep into the top six in the final match of the regular season at the expense of their local rivals LASK, no less. Our most recent clash with the Blue and Whites shows just why Gerald Scheiblehner's side deserve to be among the elite half dozen.
Ronivaldo & Co took a clinical 2-0 win against us in the autumn, but we did have a fantastic 5-1 win in our first home match of the season already under our belts - and we would be delighted to see a repeat of that on Sunday. Thomas Letsch faces a challenge in his squad selection, however, with a few absences and suspensions.
We showed last week at Rapid Vienna that we are ready to battle for crucial championship group points and take wins in close encounters. Sunday's opponents lost their opener at Austria Vienna having fallen to an early two-goal deficit they were unable to claw back.
One thing for sure is that we need all three points if we are to keep our title ambitions on track! You can secure your seats at the Red Bull Arena on Sunday at our Online Ticket Shop.
Anyone not able to watch the encounter at the Red Bull Arena can keep up with the latest on our website. The match will be broadcast on Sky Sport Austria and OneFootball, internationally.

Blau-Weiß Linz are a team that are deservedly in the top six. They have a clear structure, a good mix of experienced and young players - plus an absolutely clinical attacker with Ronivaldo. They perform as a team, which makes them particularly strong. We analysed them very carefully ahead of the match, and we will be just as focused in the match as in our recent fixtures.
Thomas Letsch
I have settled in really well here in Salzburg, I feel happy and I think you can see that on the pitch. It is a great feeling to be here. Our aim is to win against Blau-Weiß Linz. We will give everything for that and prepare as best as we can. We want to win as many matches as we can in the championship group to raise the pressure on the other teams.
