Here are five reasons to tune in this weekend.

Fiorentina chase history

Such is the close nature of the top six in Serie A this season that it seems we are treated to a mouthwatering match-up from the summit every weekend.

This one is no different as champions Inter travel to Tuscany to face Fiorentina, with the sides level on points in third and fourth respectively, and just one off Napoli in first place.

The Viola are currently riding a seven-game winning streak in Serie A which has propelled them into the upper echelons of the table and they are looking to make it eight-in-a-row for just the second time in their history (last doing so in 1960).

In Inter's previous two games this season when facing top four opposition, they have drawn both. Can they make it third time lucky in Florence?

Ranieri returns home

Popular Romanista Claudio Ranieri takes charge of Roma for the third time since his surprise return this month but their meeting with Atalanta marks his first in front of their own support.

The fans have reacted in kind to his return and are rallying around the charismatic coach by selling out the Stadio Olimpico for the visit of the in-form La Dea, who come into the game on the back of a superb 6-1 Champions League win in Switzerland.

Ranieri will have his work cut out for him though as this is a fixture which has posed plenty of problems for the Giallorossi lately, winning just one of their last 10 at home against the Bergamo outfit.

Although they are coming off a decent European result of their own (Mats Hummels rescuing a late draw at Tottenham), they will have their hands full in dealing with Mateo Retegui in particular, who became the first player in club history score at least 12 goals in the first 13 games of a league season and just the fifth Italian to do so this century.

Lukaku meets his favourite victims

Napoli will aim to remain top of the pile by leaving Torino with all three points and if the form of Romelu Lukaku against them is anything to go by, they will fancy their chances.

The Belgian has been directly involved in nine goals (five of his own and four assists) against the Granata in Serie A.

Against no other team has he been involved in more and having netted last time out against former club Roma, is back on the goals trail again.

This fixture also represents a career landmark for Lukaku, who will start his 350th game in Europe's top five leagues if Antonio Conte deploys him from the off as he is expected to do.

Can Milan silence boo boys?

Last weekend, Milan were jeered off the park at the conclusion of a drab scoreless draw against Juventus and followed it up with a Champions League win over a struggling Slovan Bratislava side that they had to work much harder than they should have for.

Under Paulo Fonseca, the Rossoneri are struggling to win games convincingly - something they will be hoping to put right at San Siro against Empoli where fans will expect much more entertainment than they received last weekend.

The use of Rafael Leão continues to be a contentious talking point with each passing week, along with the constant rotation of the central defenders.

The gap to the Champions League places is starting to open up and must be closed in on with an impressive showing but it is impossible to predict which version of this Milan side will turn up.

Young stars face off

Lecce's duel with Juventus on Sunday night will be notable for those who want to keep an eye on two of the league's brightest young talents.

The men in question are Kenan Yıldız, 19, and Patrick Dorgu, 20, who are the two youngest players to score three or more goals in Serie A this season.

Both have scored three so far and it already represents their highest tally for a top-flight campaign in their fledgling and promising careers.
