Flamengo congratulated Corinthians after losing the Supercopa do Brasil final 2-0 at Mané Garrincha in Brasília, the club said in a post on Monday morning.

Corinthians led in the first half through centre-back Gabriel Paulista. In second-half stoppage time, Yuri Alberto lifted the ball over goalkeeper Rossi and headed in the second.

The Supercopa matched the 2025 national title winners. Corinthians qualified by lifting the Copa do Brasil against Vasco da Gama, while Flamengo earned their place as last season's Campeonato Brasileiro champions.

The message expressed respect for the work carried out and addressed Corinthians' players, coaching staff, club professionals and supporters, recognising their Supercopa Rei success.

With the trophy secured, Corinthians turn to the 2026 campaign. Dorival Júnior's side host Capivariano at the Neo Química Arena on Thursday, 5 February, with kick-off at 20:30.
